I'm Alyssa, these little ones are who I spend my days with.
Earl Grey Tea I drink it constantly with just a bit of milk...specifically Stash Earl Grey. I'm mostly vegetarian -- I'm super picky about where my meat comes from (I watched WAY too many food documentaries!). My favourite colour is green. I was married at 21. We have 3 kids, one girl and two boys within about 4 years. I am the oldest of 3 girls myself. I prefer savoury over sweet (don't get me wrong, I love some good quality chocolate and watermelon candies). I don't like mushrooms, olives, seafood, papaya, fake fruit + chocolate or super spicy food. I'm not a very neat person, but I like to plan and make a lot of lists (I feel like these traits don't belong together). I travelled a lot before I got married (Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Dubai, India, Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania, plus lots of travel around the US of A). Sadly these were pre-camera days for me! I'm also an introvert/extrovert! I love spending most of my evenings at home...not sure if it's because I have 3 small children or if it's legit anymore, ha!

THE BORING STUFF
I grew up in the Lower Mainland of BC. I am fortunate to also have a great support system of family that are willing and able to take my kids on REALLY short notice. Without that, I don't know where I would be!
I have been in and out of the photography industry since 2009. Since deciding to stay at home with my kids when my maternity leave ended at my job, I am so happy to be doing something other than changing cloth diapers, wiping little noses and sweeping the floor 800 times a day. Making photos has really turned into something I am so passionate about! I love it so much.
After taking a course on newborn photography and attending my first birth as a photographer, I was very excited to have totally found what I absolutely LOVE to photograph. I love that each birth tells an amazing, passionate and real story. I adore those squishy little newborns. I love to document life as it goes on, to tell a story from an outside perspective and preserve memories that you wouldn't normally get to keep. To show families how they love, how they interact, to remember life as it is now. I have wanted to be a mom since forever, these babies grow too fast, let's try to savour these moments!
