Exciting news up over here (all of my Instagram followers already got a heads' up on this one... you should probably head over there and follow me so you don't miss anything else). I am expecting in November and we are having another boy! So I will be taking a few months off of doing newborns until January/February and about 6 months off doing births, starting up again around June...
Baby Cooper | Fresh 48 and Newborn Session
Cooper’s family contacted me after seeing a post on a local Facebook moms group that I had done. They were my first official purely Fresh 48 session, and I loved it so much! Mom had a scheduled c-section and wanted photos of their 3.5 year old daughter and parents meeting their newest family member...
School Sessions Fundraiser | Mini-Sessions at Rocky Point Park, BC
I am so excited to be a part of this great fundraiser called The School Sessions to build a school in Haiti. Michele Mateus Photography (who found the idea) and I are partnering up to do mini-sessions for families, 100% of the money goes toward building this school. We are also opening two spots to families who lost everything in a local fire in Coquitlam with just a minimum $10 donation to help them create new memories with their family...
Baby William | Lifestyle Newborn Photography, Abbotsford, BC
William was a referral from Tara Teng, his mom worked with her and passed my info on to her, yay for referrals, it's how I get most of my clients!! William was 6 weeks old by the time of our session, his mom had intended to do newborn photos on her own, but it’s so incredibly hard to do your own newborn session, the photos never turn out how you want them to (believe me, I know this from experience).
William’s family were total animal lovers (like me!), they had two big dogs and two cats, but the dogs had to go outside for the session. Cats are always super curious about what the heck I am doing in their house with all that stuff, and half the time end up laying in my bags and batting cords around. This guy was enjoying himself in William’s bassinet.
And a post-feed snooze with mama.
After some some basket shots in the living room and some sweet mommy-and-me photos in the dining room, we headed upstairs to the nursery where we got some of William in his natural environment. Isn’t he just the most adorable thing!?!?
And time for a diaper change...
Eventually Mr. William wanted to nurse again and started getting super grumpy (good thing babies look cute when they’re grumpy too)
William was a lot older than the typical babies I photograph, but it is so far my favourite session, I LOVED doing the lifestyle images, it was so natural and captured such amazing moments and memories of mama and baby. I can’t wait to do more of these lifestyle sessions! Amazing!
